Biography

Johan Put is a full professor at the Faculty of Law of KU Leuven, affiliated with the Institute of Social Law (ISR) and the Leuven Institute of Criminology (LINC). He is responsible for teaching, research, and service in juvenile law and social and welfare law, involved in various interdisciplinary and interuniversity research projects such as the Support Point for Welfare, Public Health, and Family; Youth Research Platform; and the Knowledge Center for Children's Rights. Since 2012, he has also served as an assessor in the Legislation Department of the Council of State. He is an editorial member of several journals including Youth Justice and the Journal of Social Law and serves as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Youth and Children's Rights.
