Ever since I started my Ph.D. studies, I have been interested in isolated atoms and molecules in the gaseous phase, developing instruments to perform new science. As a Ph.D. student, I developed a new type of spectroscopy called XETECO for studying gaseous species. My thesis led me to a postdoctoral position where I worked with Catalin Miron to finalize the PLEIADES beamline at the SOLEIL synchrotron in Paris, focusing on studies of gaseous species. After completing my postdoc, I continued my interest in advancing science by building new equipment, particularly during the establishment of the HELIOS laboratory at Uppsala University, which serves as a high harmonic generation laboratory for studying the dynamics of matter. Currently, my primary research interest is in studying fundamental interactions between X-rays, atoms, and small molecules, utilizing soft X-ray spectroscopy and collaborating with national and international large-scale facilities such as MAX-IV and European XFEL.
