Professor Dr. Johan Vannerom

Biography

Johan Vannerom is an Assistant Professor at Erasmus School of Law, where he coordinates the track 'International Business Law' in the LLM Program in Commercial Law. He combines his academic career with a partnership at a law firm in Brussels, Vannerom + Partners, and serves on the Expert Committee advising the Belgian Financial Ombudsman. His expertise lies in banking and financial law, particularly concerning payment services and credit agreements, alongside unfair commercial practices and food law, including food safety and eco-labeling. Vannerom is also active in academia, having published multiple articles and spoken at international conferences, and he is a member of the editorial board for the Belgian law journal 'Droit de la Consommation / Consumentenrecht.'
