Biography

Johanna Arlinghaus is an environmental economist focused on fiscal climate policy and carbon dioxide removal. Methodologically, she primarily employs econometric methods and causal inference using large micro-level datasets to evaluate policies. She teaches classes in Empirical Environmental Economics and Climate Justice. Johanna is affiliated with the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford and the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change in Berlin. She has completed a PhD in Economics at the Technical University of Berlin and worked as an economist at the OECD Center for Tax Policy and Administration for over four years prior to her PhD.
