Biography

Johanna Mufic is a Postdoctoral researcher at Linköping University with a focus on Adult Learning within Educational Research. Her work critically examines quality in adult education, including its implications for policy and practice. In her dissertation, she scrutinized the quality audits conducted by the Swedish Schools Inspectorate, alongside the perspectives of educational leaders, teachers, and counselors regarding quality concerns in adult education. With an increasing global demand for educational quality, particularly in Swedish adult education, Johanna's work is timely, as it addresses how quality is understood and enacted amidst calls for improvement. She advocates for a nuanced understanding of quality, which is often taken for granted or poorly defined. In addition to her research, Johanna has served as an editorial assistant for the European Journal of Research in Education and Learning of Adults and has been actively involved in academic governance as a PhD-student representative. Her academic journey includes a Master's degree in Educational Science from Lund University and a Bachelor's degree in Educational Science from Umeå University.
