Biography

Johanne Sloan holds a BFA from Concordia University, an MA from Université de Montréal, and a PhD in History and Theory of Art from the University of Kent, England, obtained in 1998. She is a professor in the Department of Art History at Concordia University, where she specializes in contemporary and Canadian art, particularly from the 1960s. She actively supervises graduate students and continues to contribute to both teaching and research in contemporary art practices.
