Dr. Johannes Kriebel

Biography

Johannes Kriebel is a Professor of Business Administration focusing on Sustainable Finance at the University of Hamburg. He supervises Bachelor and Master theses related to the research priorities of his professorship. His research interests include Machine Learning, Risk Management, Sustainable Finance, Controlling, and International Finance. He has published several articles in reputed journals, contributing significantly to the literature on decision support systems, insurance fraud detection using machine learning, and credit default prediction in peer-to-peer lending through deep learning techniques. Kriebel has also held academic positions as a visiting scholar at the University of Edinburgh and has served as an academic advisor at the University of Münster. He holds a Doctorate in Finance from the University of Münster, an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering also from the same institution.
