Professor Dr. John Albrecht

Biography

John Albrecht is a professor in the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Michigan State University. He holds an appointed position as the executive director of the University Research Organization (URO). His extensive academic career is complemented by a substantial administrative background, particularly in leadership roles such as the executive director of the Fraunhofer USA Center for Midwest Laser Applications. Albrecht's research has been published in various prominent journals, where he has co-authored papers on topics such as aerosol jet-printed components and simulations using Fermi kinetics transport relevant to AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs). He completed his PhD at the University of Minnesota in 1999, and his work continues to push the boundaries of research in his fields of expertise.
