Biography

John, a native of Fredericton, teaches Maritime Law and Environmental Law. He studied as a DHL Deutsche Post academic scholar at the University of Edinburgh, graduating from the Master of Laws program (LL.M) with honors. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelors in Science (Biology) and Juris Doctor (JD) and was a visiting summer student at the Julliard School in New York. At UNB Law, John served as co-chair of the Environmental Law Society and co-authored a presentation for the Canadian Bar Association on shale gas exploration in New Brunswick. He works in private practice at Burke Law Group and is a director of the Conservation Council of New Brunswick while also serving as an advisor for Pro Bono Students Canada.
