Biography

Dr. Casellas Connors is a broadly trained human-environment geographer whose research addresses the social and political dimensions of environmental management programs and food systems. He utilizes a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to explore how humans understand and transform environments and how these transformations ultimately affect various outcomes. His current research is particularly focused on changes in agricultural production systems and how these changes affect the resilience of food systems and influence food security outcomes. In addition, Dr. Casellas Connors is involved in a project examining wildlife management programs in suburban landscapes, investigating how species thrive and how institutional patterns of land use present distinct challenges for effective management.
