John Chaplin is an Associate Professor and Health Psychologist at the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. He is involved in the translation and implementation of patient-reported outcome systems within the Swedish healthcare registries. He lectures on Global Public Health at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in statistics and health research, while also supervising medical public health students. As a member of several international organizations, including the International Society for Quality of Life (ISOQOL), he serves as the current chair of the Child-Special Interest Group and is the PROMIS National Coordinator (PNC) for Sweden. Chaplin has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to a book on patient empowerment in clinical trials.
