John Morris Fairbrother graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney in 1972 and worked as a veterinarian in Australia for five years before pursuing a Ph.D. at Cornell University. His current research activities primarily focus on diagnostics, epidemiological surveillance, research and development, and training, aiming to foster international collaborations for E. coli characterization and monitoring.
