Dr. Flunker's ongoing projects aim to quantify the effects of acute heat and wildfire smoke on the respiratory health of crop workers in vulnerable communities. His laboratory is dedicated to characterizing and refining the spatiotemporal estimates of environmental and occupational exposures and their associated health impacts, particularly in relation to extreme weather events and natural disasters.
