Dr. John Heilman

Professor Heilman earned his law degree from the University of Southern California. He has practiced law in the private sector since 1987 and joined the legal writing faculty at Whittier Law School in 1990. In 1999, he was named Distinguished Teaching Professor of Law at Whittier. Professor Heilman has taught multiple law courses, established Southwestern's Summer Program on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law, and helped establish the Eviction Defense Clinic.
