John Hufnagle joined Yale in 2021 as a member of the Integrated Interventional Radiology residency program. Raised in Massachusetts, John attended Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore where he developed his interest in diagnostic imaging and image-guided interventions. He was awarded the Outstanding Student Radiology Award by the Department of Radiology at Creighton University School of Medicine, where he completed his medical education. John began working with the Society of Interventional Radiology's Resident, Fellow, Student section, seeking opportunities to tutor fellow students. He completed a combined internship in internal medicine and surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His training focuses on diagnostic and interventional radiology with particular interests in endovascular interventions, vascular anomalies, pediatric interventional radiology, and vascular imaging. John continues to work with the Society of Interventional Radiology and seeks opportunities to teach medical students and residents. In his free time, John enjoys running, golfing, swimming, reading, and working with boats.
