Biography

Professor Jacobi’s teaching and scholarship areas focus on Health Finance, Health Insurance, Health Access, Health Equity, Mental Health Law, and Disability Law. He is a principal investigator on grant-funded projects addressing behavioral health integration, mental health parity, supportive housing, and health insurance reform. His service includes work with the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate, where he addressed issues surrounding HIV, gender discrimination, and health access, as well as serving as counsel to the Governor of New Jersey, focusing on health, human services, and children and families issues. He continues to serve on government advisory panels concerning mental health and health finance/access. His research projects delve into health access and health costs and he is active on the boards of nonprofit organizations dedicated to health equity, health access, and diversity in health care.
