John C. W. Lam received his BA in Economics and B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University in 2003. He continued his education at the same institution, earning an M.Sc. and PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2006 and 2010, respectively. Following his doctoral studies, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Queen’s Center for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER) from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University, where he currently serves as a Professor and the Graduate Program Director for the MASc and PhD programs. He is the founder and director of the Advanced Power Electronics Laboratory for Sustainable Energy Research (PELSER). In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Lam is an Associate Editor for several reputable journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (TPEL), IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications (TIA), and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics (JESTIE). He has also contributed as a Guest Editor for Special Issues in various IEEE IET journals.
