John C. W. Lam received a BA in Economics and a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University in 2003. He then completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering at Queen’s University in 2006 and 2010, respectively. Following this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Queen’s Center for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER) from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, where he currently serves as a Professor and Graduate Program Director for the MASc and PhD programs. Additionally, he is the founder and director of the Advanced Power Electronics Laboratory for Sustainable Energy Research (PELSER). He has contributed to the academic community as an Associate Editor for several IEEE journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications. Furthermore, he has served as a Guest Editor for Special Issues in various IEEE and IET journals.
