Biography

John R. Long is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1984, and later completed a Master of Engineering and a Doctorate in Electronics at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, in 1992 and 1996, respectively. He has served as Chair of the Electronics Research Laboratory at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. His research interests focus on high-speed wireline communication, high-frequency circuits, and low-power mobile transceiver circuits integrated into wireless communication systems.
