Biography

John Lowrey is a Senior Lecturer in Architectural History at the Edinburgh College of Art, part of the University of Edinburgh. He serves as Programme Director for Architectural History Heritage and Architecture MSc Research, as well as being the ESALA PGR Director. His research focuses on numerous aspects of architectural history, including the design and interior decoration of eighteenth-century Scottish country houses, as well as the influence of European architectural artistic patronage.
