Biography

John Isaac Murray is a Professor in the Department of Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on the regulation of developmental gene expression during animal development, utilizing the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans. The Murray lab employs advanced imaging techniques and computational tools to explore the patterns of gene expression at single-cell resolution. Key areas of interest include understanding the mechanisms through which transcription factors and signaling pathways contribute to organismal development and the misregulation associated with cancer and human genetic diseases.
