Biography

John Neumann is an Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Austin's iSchool, specializing in user experience with over 20 years of professional experience in both academic research and industry. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Florida Atlantic University, as well as a Master’s and Doctorate in Modeling and Simulation, focusing on Human-Computer Interaction and Human Systems from the University of Central Florida. John moved from the Midwest to Florida, and then to Texas, to pursue his academic and athletic interests. Outside of his professional commitments, John is an active coach and mentor. He enjoys spending his free time with his rescue dogs, cooking, traveling, playing music, and gaming. As part of his academic role, he teaches various courses related to user experience design and interaction design.
