Dr. John Neville

Biography

John Neville is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of New Brunswick. His research interests lie in the fields of physical and theoretical chemistry, primarily focusing on interactions between ionizing radiation and matter. Neville utilizes synchrotron radiation and high energy electron beams in his investigations. He employs coupled time-of-flight mass spectrometry and coincidence techniques to study core excitation, photoionization, fragmentation dynamics, and relaxation processes in core-excited multiply-ionized molecules. His research is conducted primarily at synchrotron facilities, including the Canadian Light Source, where he leverages computational methods to aid in interpreting experimental results, aiming to advance the understanding of energy transfer processes in complex systems.
