Biography

Currently serves on the Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity Leadership Team in the Pratt School of Engineering. He has been an instructor for EGRMGMT 550 and 551, which focus on Internship Assessment in the Master of Engineering Management program, where he has also advised independent studies in Software Engineering Management and mentored corporate-sponsored Consulting Practicums (EGRMGMT 556). John enjoys helping students develop skills that enhance their professional careers. He has mentored an undergraduate team for the Atlantic Council's Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge student competition and served on the board of the Center for Christianity Scholarship at Duke. With 30 years of experience at IBM and Lenovo, his areas of expertise include cybersecurity, software, product management, and technology management. He is a certified Information Systems Security professional (CISSP) and his research interests focus on cybersecurity technologies and strategy.
