Dr. John Pedersen

Biography

John Storm Pedersen is a Professor emeritus at the University of Southern Denmark and has extensive experience in management organization and public administration. He completed his Ph.D. on the contemporary society's mixed economy at Roskilde University in 1989 and an M.A. in Public Administration at the same university in 1979. Pedersen's professional journey includes significant roles such as Professor of Management Organization at the University of Southern Denmark and Associate Professor at Roskilde University. His career also includes consulting work regarding regional cooperation and development, particularly in the Baltic region. Furthermore, he has been involved in numerous research initiatives focusing on the effectiveness of public sector management, particularly during economic downturns where the balance between economic efficiency and welfare state principles became increasingly precarious. He has published various works addressing the reformation of the public sector, public innovation, and management practices in local government, making substantial contributions to the fields of sociology and public administration.
