Dr. John Rompon

Biography

John Rompon is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management, where he has built a 30-year career focusing on private company activities and family office investing. He has experience as a structured transactions lawyer, management consultant, entrepreneur, and CEO, where he led management teams and governed various enterprises as a Board Member. John is the Founder and Managing Partner of Marjo Investments LLC, a private family holding company dedicated to investing and actively managing private companies associated with family offices. Throughout his career, he has co-led investments in companies with an aggregate enterprise value exceeding $1.5 billion. Additionally, he serves as the Senior Managing Director at Prospect Park LLC and has previously held significant positions at Hewlett-Packard and Brigade. He has also contributed as a senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and Latham & Watkins. John is an active board member for private companies, an advisor to family offices in Indonesia and India, and an Affiliate Partner at Lindsay Goldberg. He is also a Trustee and member of the Investment Committee at the Newberry Library and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University - Bloomington School of Law, where he was a founding member of the Family Office program. He holds a J.D. and a B.A. in Economics and History from Northwestern University.
