Dr. John Straub

Biography

John E. Straub is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Boston University. His research specializes in computational chemistry and biophysics, with a focus on molecular modeling and simulations. He has extensive training as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University under the guidance of Nobel Laureate Martin Karplus. Straub obtained his PhD from Columbia University, where he worked with Bruce Berne, and he furthered his academic journey with a Master of Philosophy, Master of Arts, and a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University and the University of Maryland, respectively. His contributions to the field are recognized through numerous publications and collaborations, making him a key figure in advancing our understanding of chemical processes at the molecular level.
