Biography

Emeritus Professor John Trinder has over 50 years of experience in teaching and research at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), specializing in a range of topics including photogrammetry, remote sensing, and spatial sciences. He has authored more than 200 scientific papers published in various journals and conference proceedings. Professor Trinder served as the Head of the School of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering, which is now part of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, during 1990-1999. Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to advances in the field and has received multiple awards for his research, including the Talbert Abrams Award for his innovative work published in the journal Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing.
