Dr. John Walewski

Biography

John Walewski is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University. He has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, which he obtained in 2005. With a solid background in engineering and planning, he also holds a Master's degree in Urban Regional Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Michigan State University. His research interests encompass several key areas including risk management, international construction risk assessment, public-private partnerships, and alternative project delivery methods. He emphasizes sustainable design and construction techniques, building information modeling, and the ecological ramifications of resource use in the engineering field. John brings extensive industry experience to his academic role, having worked in construction engineering project management across state, federal, military, and private sectors.
