Biography

John Wincze, PhD, is a Clinical Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and he currently serves as the Associate Director of the Men’s Health Center at Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Wincze received his PhD from the University of Vermont and has over 40 years of experience in diagnosing and treating sexual problems. His extensive publication record focuses on sexual behavior, and he has served as the Head of the Psychology Licensing Board in the state of Rhode Island. He is also recognized as a qualified expert in psychological assessment and treatment for sex offenders, appearing in both State and Federal Courts. Wincze has been invited as a Visiting Scholar to lecture in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe on topics related to the assessment and treatment of sexual offenders and sexual dysfunction. He has also contributed to the field as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Sex Research for a decade.
