Biography

John Zagula is an Affiliate Instructor at the Foster School of Business, University of Washington, where he has been teaching since 2016. He specializes in communications, consumer behavior, entrepreneurship, leadership, marketing strategy, private equity, technology innovation strategy, and venture capital. Zagula holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University. Previously, he was the Founding Managing Director of Qiming Ventures from 2006 to 2009, a Partner at Ignition Partners, and held various roles at Microsoft including General Manager from 1991 to 2000, and was involved in International Marketing at American Express from 1988 to 1991. Zagula has also been recognized as a Fulbright Scholar at Universität zu Köln.
