Johnny Kim earned his PhD in 2008 from the Thorsten Hoppe Center for Molecular Neurobiology in Hamburg, Germany. He joined the lab of Thomas Braun at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in 2009, where he became a group leader in 2013. The overarching goal of his work is to develop novel therapeutic strategies for age-associated cardiovascular diseases.
