Dr. Johnson Kinyua

Biography

Johnson Kinyua holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, as well as an M.S. in Digital Communications from the University of Kent at Canterbury and a B.S. in Electrical Electronic Engineering from University College London. He has extensive experience in higher education, having served as departmental chair and dean in multiple universities. His teaching encompasses several critical areas such as cybersecurity, enterprise integration, enterprise analytics, software engineering, database management systems, and object-oriented programming in Java, C++, and Python. Dr. Kinyua has published his research in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presented at several international conferences. His current research focuses on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in cybersecurity, using deep learning and natural language models in financial markets, employing anomaly detection in healthcare, and utilizing data science to analyze human-wildlife conflict and improve conservation initiatives.
