Biography

Joi Mondisa joined the faculty in Fall 2016. She earned a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MBA from Governors State University, an MS in Industrial Engineering, and a PhD in Engineering Education from Purdue University. Her research focuses on examining mentoring approaches and relationships, intervention programs, and designing and assessing learning experiences and outcomes. Mondisa has worked in the industry for ten years in areas such as manufacturing, operations, technical sales, and publishing. She is also the Director of the Engineering Education Research Graduate Program and is involved in mentoring initiatives as well as faculty advisory roles within the University of Michigan community, particularly with the Black Industrial Engineers Scholars Group.
