Biography

Jon Fricker is a Professor Emeritus in Civil Engineering at Purdue University, with a rich background in transportation and urban planning. He earned his Ph.D. and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on transportation infrastructure systems, with interests in bicycle and pedestrian transportation, infrastructure asset management, and public transportation. Over the years, he has contributed significantly to various research projects funded by the Federal Highway Administration and Indiana Department of Transportation, examining topics such as traffic impact analysis, asset management, and economic development related to highway investment.
