Dr. Jon Husson

Biography

Jon Husson is an Associate Professor at the University of Victoria specializing in Earth history, stratigraphy, sedimentary carbonates, stable isotope geochemistry, and U-Pb geochronology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and both a Master’s and PhD from Princeton University. His research interests focus on understanding the geological past through various geological and geochemical techniques. He employs stratigraphic analysis and sedimentary geology to unravel the complexities of Earth’s history, particularly in relation to climate change and geological formations over time. With a keen interest in stable isotopes, Husson utilizes geochemical methods to trace changes in the Earth’s environmental conditions and contribute to the field of earth sciences at large.
