Dr. Jon Ling

Biography

Jon Ling is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His research integrates bioinformatics and genetic engineering to develop therapeutic strategies for age-related neurodegenerative diseases and monogenic disorders. He employs large-scale computational analyses of next-generation sequencing data to identify novel disease mechanisms, translating his discoveries into clinical applications. Dr. Ling completed his undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University, received his Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and finished his postdoctoral fellowship at the JHU Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute. He joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins in 2020. His work has contributed to multiple publications in high-impact journals, focusing on the mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration and novel approaches to therapeutic interventions.
