Biography

Jon Maharaj is a JUNO award winning bassist who has performed and recorded with notable artists including Tenors, Emilie-Claire Barlow, Allison Au, and Amanda Tosoff. He has an extensive touring history across North America and has performed overseas in locations such as Tokyo and Monte Carlo. Currently, he is playing bass in a Tony winning musical titled 'Come Away', a position he has held since January 2018. Additionally, Jon was featured in the media during the Markham Jazz Fest in 2023 as part of the Matthew Stevens Trio.
