Biography

Jonas Ammenberg is a Senior Associate Professor at Linköping University, specializing in resource-efficient systems solutions particularly in the field of biogas and industrial symbiosis. His research primarily focuses on the potential of biogas solutions to support environmental sustainability while providing desired functions with reduced negative impacts on life-sustaining systems. He has contributed to the establishment of the Biogas Solutions Research Center (BSRC), emphasizing collaboration with industry and public organizations. His extensive experience includes six years as an environmental consultant and a doctoral thesis that explored the influence of environmental management systems on firms' environmental performance. His work also investigates corporate sustainability management and aims to enhance understanding of strategic drivers and barriers to sustainable practices in business. In addition to his research, Ammenberg teaches courses in corporate sustainability management at both undergraduate and doctoral levels, guiding students in the complexities surrounding environmental management and resource efficiency.
