Biography

Jonas Meckling is a Professor of Energy Environmental Policy at the University of California, Berkeley. He leads the Energy and Environment Policy Lab and is involved in programs focusing on climate policy and the economic impacts of those policies. With expertise in climate policy and energy policy, he blends political economy with environmental studies. Meckling has published extensively in leading academic journals, such as Nature and Science, and has received multiple awards from the American Political Science Association. Before his current role, he was a visiting professor at Harvard Business School and Yale University and served as a Senior Advisor to the German Minister for Environment and Renewable Energy.
