Biography

Jonas Sellberg is an Associate Professor in the Division of Bio-Opto-Nano Physics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), where he has been a faculty member since 2016. He defended his PhD in Chemical Physics in 2014 and his research focuses on coherent diffractive imaging and time-resolved X-ray spectroscopy using X-ray free electron lasers (XFELs). His particular interests include studying water structure and ice nucleation, single-particle imaging of viruses and cells, and time-resolved serial femtosecond crystallography. Sellberg has an extensive publication record with over 50 peer-reviewed articles and has participated in several international conferences. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Göran Gustafsson prize for young researchers in 2018. Currently, he teaches undergraduate and graduate students and is involved in various scientific committees and research initiatives within the field of physics.
