Biography

Jonas Bloch Thorlund is a Professor and Head of the Research Unit at the Department of Musculoskeletal Function Physiotherapy at the University of Southern Denmark. He holds a Master’s degree in Sports Science and completed his PhD in 2011. Professor Thorlund leads various research projects focusing on chronic musculoskeletal pain and joint injuries, specifically the interplay between chronic pain and sleep, the treatment of osteoarthritis, and knee injuries. He is involved in several randomized controlled trials aimed at understanding and managing chronic pain and has supervised over 10 PhD students. His work has received competitive grants from the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
