Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Jonathan Grinstein. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Jonathan Grinstein, MD, FACC, is a highly respected cardiologist specializing in the medical management of advanced heart failure. He treats patients requiring long-term intravenous medications, continuous infusion pump medications, mechanical circulatory support, left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), and heart transplantation. Committed to excellent clinical care, Dr. Grinstein is also passionate about furthering medical research. He has evaluated and perfected echocardiographic and computed tomography techniques to noninvasively monitor pressure and volume in patients with implanted LVADs. This technique allows cardiologists to analyze how patients are responding to the device and make necessary adjustments in real time. Additionally, Dr. Grinstein is conducting research to develop “smart” LVADs that intuitively adjust speed based on the physiological needs of the patient by employing computational fluid dynamics to study and predict blood flow patterns in order to maximize device performance. His research has been published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Cardiac Failure, the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs Journal, Heart Lung Transplantation, and JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging.
