Biography

Jonathan W. Ivy, PhD, BCBA-D, is an associate professor of psychology at Penn State Harrisburg. He earned his doctorate in applied behavior analysis and special education from The Ohio State University in 2011 and his master's degree in applied behavior analysis from The Pennsylvania State University in 2005. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Ivy works with individuals exhibiting severe challenging behaviors at both group and individual levels. He has assisted parents and professionals in developing and implementing comprehensive behavior change programs aimed at increasing functional skills while decreasing challenging behaviors. Dr. Ivy has served as a consultant for school districts, youth residential programs, and behavioral health agencies, addressing a wide range of needs. In 2013, he was nominated President of the Pennsylvania Association for Behavior Analysis (PennABA) and has been involved in licensing initiatives for behavior analysts. He regularly presents at national conferences and maintains an active research agenda with multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests encompass group-oriented contingencies, token reinforcement, behavioral economics, and the assessment and treatment of problem behavior.
