Jonathan Kline is a Professor of Practice at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture. With a decade of teaching and research at CMU, he has explored the future of cities and mentored generations of students. Since 2002, Jonathan has taught upper-level undergraduate urban design studios, building upon the public interest design legacy established by David Lewis in the 1960s. His professional work includes mixed-use developments and revitalizing urban neighborhoods, enhanced by creative approaches to urban mobility for the twenty-first century. Jonathan’s work has earned numerous accolades and has been featured in exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale Architettura and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. He is also trained as an artist, creating paintings and drawings that visualize the changing spatial and social networks within cities.
