Biography

Jonathan Kole is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University. He is currently the Senior Director and Medical Director at Headspace, a virtual mental health platform that integrates evidence-based meditation, mental health content, coaching, and therapy. Kole completed his MD and was also awarded a Masters in Ethics from the University of Pennsylvania. He finished Brown's Triple Board Residency in Pediatrics, Adult Psychiatry, and Child Psychiatry. A National Health Service Corps Scholar, he has worked to provide integrated outpatient psychiatric care to underserved children and adults through the Providence Community Health Centers. Additionally, he continues his role as Director of Ethics Education at Brown Medical School, where he organizes and teaches biomedical ethics content to medical students. His teaching philosophy involves a commitment to improving access to mental healthcare and improving psychiatric care delivery for both children and adults.
