Biography

Jonathan Parker is the Robert C. Merton Professor of Financial Economics at MIT Sloan School of Management. He is the co-director of the MIT Sloan Consumer Finance Initiative and the head of the Finance Group. Parker has served as an economic adviser to the Congressional Budget Office and has been a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. His expertise spans finance, macroeconomics, and household behavior, and he has widely published on topics such as macroeconomic risks, asset returns, and household financial decisions.
