Jonathan Rawlings is a Professor of Astrophysics at University College London. He earned his BA in Natural Sciences (Physics) from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge in 1982, followed by an MSc in Astronomy from the University of Sussex in 1983. He completed his PhD in Molecular Astrophysics at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in 1986.
