Biography

Professor Jonathan Rosenhead is an Emeritus Professor of Operational Research at the London School of Economics (LSE). He officially retired in 1987 but continues to actively engage in teaching and research. His extensive work includes significant contributions to the Labour Party candidate selection process in 1966 and long-term involvement with the British Society for Social Responsibility in Science. He has served as the Chair of the British Committee for Universities in Palestine (BRICUP) and has been recognized for his contributions to operational research, having received multiple awards including the President's Medal from the British Operational Research Society in 1979 and the Goodeve and Beale Medals in 1987 and 1992, respectively. In addition, he was appointed as an IFORS Distinguished Lecturer at the Association of Asia Pacific Operational Research Societies (APORS) conference in December 2010. His expertise lies in health services planning, policy analysis for developing countries, and community operational research, particularly focusing on planning under uncertainty and climate change.
