Biography

Jonathan Turner obtained BDS in 1989 from United Medical Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’. He received an LDSRCS in 1990 and completed an MSc in Prosthetic Dentistry in 1997. In 2010, he earned an MA in Education, specializing in leadership management. Turner undertook a PhD titled "An Investigation of Progression in King’s College London Undergraduates’ Dental Programme: Students’ Perception of Factors Affecting Progression," awarded in 2018. He has worked in General Dental Practice as a Senior Dental Officer in the Community Dental Service, and served as a Clinical Teacher at King’s College London since 1997. Currently, he is a Reader in Clinical Education and Director of Admissions for Dentistry at KCL since September 2017. His research includes areas of cultural competence in health care and striving to provide culturally appropriate care, emphasizing the importance of health equality and patient-centered care.
